Lion's Head Ontario
Lion’s Head is a town in Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, in the municipality of the Northern Bruce Peninsula. It is located on Bruce Road 9, just east of Ferndale, on the Bruce Peninsula, roughly halfway between Owen Sound and Tobermory. Lion’s Head is located halfway between the Equator and the North Pole on the 45th parallel north.
The town was named after the resemblance of a lion’s profile in the Niagara Escarpment rock formation. In 1895, the first post office was established.
